I’m Joel Emmanuel from the Philippines. I spent my first five years in Malaysia, where my expat Dad worked as Senior Communication Officer of an ASEAN organization. I am the youngest in the family; I have two brothers and four sisters.
A rookie yet in photography and general audiovisual arenas, encompassing print, video, layout and graphic arts, I have conceptualized and produced for my organization, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, since I joined the Bureau mid-May 2012, logos, layout and graphic designs that BFAR now uses for print, audio-visual, video and promo materials.
I have likewise earned citations for my photographic skills, such as the Best of the Month Award for PIXOTO’s worldwide online photo competition, the two separate WPPC Accolade of Excellence awards for the month of May by the Wedding and Portrait Photographers of CALABARZON.
My skills and facility in the field of social media have also been put to good use not only by my organization, but also by my family’s need for it.
I love reading and engaging in discussions on our political life. I don’t really have any preference for literary figures; I read just about anything that catches my fancy. I love playing and experimenting on my PC and my own troubleshooting. I also do image and video editing. I love to play the guitar and sing too.
